Shift Pattern/ Working Hours: Monday-Friday 10:00-18:00
The Role:
Assisting the Senior Management Team implement, lead and develop a new bespoke operation for Kammac as part of our exciting programme of growth and development. Delivering exceptional service to our customers in a busy and demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring all day to day operational and re-work requirements consistently meet the customer’s expectations
Manage key cost areas to deliver continued year on year financial improvement
Recruitment and management of an operating team
Management of the training plans and progression of the team through performance management and regular communication
Working closely with HR on managing site specific requirements including holding disciplinary and review meetings
Ensuring systems and procedures are enforced and followed on site
Monitoring and planning the performance of logistics and warehouse operations
Manage and develop the re-work operation
Ensuring the highest levels of customer service are maintained at all times
Working with the sales team to overcome any service issues
Working closely with the Site Support Manager to ensure stock integrity policies are fully managed on site
Ensuring that high standards of housekeeping are maintained
Overseeing and enforcing site security policies

Monitoring health and safety risks and hazards in the workplace. Advising and employees on how to minimise or ultimately avoid risks and hazards in the workplace. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ensure safe work practices
Correct unsafe conditions
Investigate Accidents and Near miss reports
Promote good practice
Ensure legal requirements are met with regards to Fire Marshalls and First Aid training
Ensure equipment is safe to use and legally compliant
Carry out workplace safety tours
Attend and hold weekly Health and Safety/HACCP meetings with the team
Carry out all risk assessments and special assessments as required by business, including display screen equipment, manual handling, lone working, forklift loading, pregnant workers, young workers etc.
Conduct all “risk assessments” as required by legislation and are reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

Proven track record in warehousing and customer management
Experience of site set up of a large warehouse environment would be beneficial
A demonstrable track record in managing high volume, service driven warehouse operations for Customers
Track record of working closely with customers and able to illustrate examples of how they have managed such relationships
Demonstrate the ability of change management within an operational environment
Excellent communication skills, ability to converse at all levels both internally and with our customer
PC literate with the ability to produce spreadsheets and presentation material
Understanding of BRC requirement and warehouse Operations
IOSH Managing safety qualification

Successful candidate(s) will be required to undergo a basic Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) Check.
