Store Person (perm)

We currently have a great opportunity in Southampton for a stores operator to join our team. Under the direction of the Stores Controller, this position will support all store operations. This will entail providing all necessary supplies and parts to guarantee the terminal operates effectively at all times.
About the Role How will you contribute:

Issue and control of stock
Conduct regular stocktakes
Handling the receipt of goods – including unloading
Receive goods from suppliers check quality & quantity against requirement.
Identify parts and locate in their correct stock location or quarantine area.
Communication with all departments regarding when their goods are in.
Entering receipt details onto the computer database
Ensure the integrity, security & cleanliness of stock held in the stores is always maintained in line with company and ISO procedures.
Control test certification for lifting gear, twist locks, chains, ropes/wires etc. on system and attach certificate to items.

What will you Bring Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Forklift Licence (Essential)
Experience within goods inwards, stores or warehouse
Experience within the industrial, logistics or maritime sectors would be beneficial.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to use all Microsoft applications.
