Security Officer / Security Patrol Driver Vacancies – West Sussex

The Role:
Avantguard are recruiting for a security officer and mobile patrol driver. The role is mainly night shifts and will include covering sites in Chichester, Bognor Regis, Littlehampton, Brighton and patrol shifts starting from our office in Arundel.

42 – 54 hours per week on a rolling roster pattern
£10.90 – £11.55 per hour depending on location of shifts
All necessary uniform, equipment and training provided

Duties
For patrol duties, you will be required to visit a variety of client premises in a given geographical area limited to West and East Sussex. Shifts will start at our office in Arundel.
For static duties, you will be required to attend a specific site and perform a range of security related tasks. Roles are currently available in Littlehampton and Brighton.
Full training will be provided for all roles.
Your duties may include:-

Carrying out external site patrols
Carrying out internal site patrols
Access control
Locking and unlocking buildings
Responding to intruder and CCTV alarms
Working to a timetable for certain tasks
Planning of own workload to ensure duties are carried out within time windows
Ensuring that buildings are secure through checking windows, doors and vulnerable areas
Carrying out and recording a variety of tasks using a phone/PDA app
Producing important security and safety reports for our clients

Essential Qualifications:

Driving Licence (valid in UK for manual vehicles)
SIA Licence (valid for Security Guarding work)
Good standard of written and spoken English for report writing

PLEASE NOTE: – This successful candidate for this role may be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and subsequent approval. This will be arranged and funded by Avantguard Security Ltd and conducted through Disclosure Services. The requirement for the Enhanced DBS Disclosure is because the role involves some work at schools / colleges.
