SCOPE:
Consortio Security are looking to recruit an Experienced Mobile Security Officer to cover 5 Purpose Built Student Accommodation Sites in the Manchester area. Ideally the successful applicant will reside in Manchester or the surrounding areas. The successful candidate should be someone who prefers to work on multiple sites undertaking different roles and responsibilities by themselves. We have 4 staff in total deployed across the sites therefore there is 4 months of holiday cover as well as sickness, compassionate and extra shifts as and when they are requested meaning there is plenty of shifts to be allocated.
To be considered for this role you must hold an active SIA License be it Close Protection, Door Supervisor or Security Guard . Preferably you will have an in date First Aid qualification and have previous Student Accommodation experience with excellent customer service skills as the role involves working with employees and young adults across the client base. As long as you have a ‘’can do attitude’’ and a ‘’will to succeed’’ you will be successful in the recruitment process and the subsequent role. A driving licence is essential for this role and vehicle is provided.
If you have a lack of people skills or struggle to communicate, please do not apply for this role as a huge percentage of it will involve talking to young adults, employees and visitors and you won’t enjoy the role.
This role would suit someone who is flexible, able to think on their feet, who is able to constantly prioritise tasks ensuring that the most important issues are dealt with first and foremost.
A telephone interview process will take place and any unsuitable candidates will not be put forward for a face-to-face interview with the Regional Operations Manager.
All site training will take place prior to the mobilisation date, the role has an immediate start date.
Main Duties:
Main Duties include Controlling access and egress to site, booking staff and visitors onto the site, patrolling all the sites internally and externally, parcel management, immediate first aid management prior to the emergency services attending the site, fire evacuation and testing procedures, coordinating safe movement of staff and visitors whilst they are on site as well as incident management.
You will be working individually on a student accommodation therefore being able to work independently and being able to decisions by yourself are crucial to be successful in the role.
Purpose of the role: To provide an efficient and professional security service to Consortio Security’s clients as specified, demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism, customer service and integrity.
Duties:
Control access and egress, utilising the equipment and systems provided
Covering reception duties
Patrol all premises throughout the night to provide a visible deterrent
Ensure clients’ staff, property and other assets are secure
Answer all enquiries courteously and professionally
Accurately operate designated alarm systems
Monitor CCTV footage for protection of property and assets
Complete the daily log, noting all appropriate activity
Produce accurate reports as and when needed
Conduct sufficient internal and external patrols to ensure security of all zones utilizing technical capabilities
Ensure all procedures, site / assignment instructions and protocols are followed at all times; being particularly diligent when in an emergency situation
Maintain tidy and clean work areas
Dealing with post and parcels and then signing them out to residents
Ensuring personal boundaries are adhered to at all times making sure that the line is never crossed
Be an effective ambassador for Consortio, always smart and diligent with high levels of integrity
Previous Student Accommodation in a fast-paced environment would be beneficial. The above duties are subject to additional duties as per the site’s Assignment Instructions; however, in the event that there is a conflict of duties, the AIs’ will prevail.
There is scope for extra hours as and when the team take holidays, are off sick or have compassionate issues.
