Recycling Plant Operative

Our client, based in Portadown, is seeking Recycling Operatives for their recycling plant. You will be working as a sorter/cleaner in the plant warehouse.
Please note, you will be working in an environment with rubbish/recycling.
Hours of work are on a 2 week rotation:
Week 1: Monday – Friday 6am – 3pm.
Week 2: Monday – Friday 2pm – 9pm.
**Over 18’s only due to the working environment and duties**
Rate of pay £10.90 per hour PLUS Generous Overtime Rates
Roles & Responsibilities

Litter picking
General cleaning
Ensure quality and recovery rates are maximised
Ensure compliance with statutory and company obligations, & Health & Safety.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
Ensure daily housekeeping rules are adhered to at all times
Adhere to the principles of Manual Handling at all times
Using software to support more efficient methods of quality control /analysis of our waste streams/waste process
Any other duties as deemed reasonable by Supervisors /Management

Good communication skills – both written and verbal
Ability to work well with others.
Attention to detail
Flexible approach to working hours

Desirable Criteria

Previous experience within a MRF Environment
Manual Handling Training Certificate
Banksman Training Certificate and experience of performing Banksman
