RECYCLING OPERATIVE

Location: 91 Moy Road, Portadown
Shifts: Day shift or Night shift (40hrs/week)
Monday to Friday (inc. Saturdays, when required)
Shift patterns will be discussed at interview
Due to our continual growth, we are looking to appoint a Recycling Operative for either the rotational day shift, or the night shift, in our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), at our RiverRidge site in Portadown.
Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibility for picking and segregating both recyclable and non-recyclable materials within a busy MRF
Ensure quality and recovery rates are maximised
Ensure compliance with statutory and company obligations and Health and Safety
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
Ensure daily housekeeping rules are adhered to at all times
Adhere to the principles of Manual Handling at all times
Using software to support more efficient methods of quality control, analysis of our waste streams, and our waste process
Any other duties as deemed reasonable by Supervisors / Management

Essential Criteria

Good organisational skills
Good communication skills – both written and verbal
Ability to work well on own initiative
Be self-motivated
Ability to work well with others
Flexible approach to work hours

Desirable Criteria

Previous experience within a waste industry
Manual Handling Training Certificate
Banksman Training Certificate and experience of performing Banksman

Competitive hourly rate – £10.90 per hr (15% hourly premium for hours worked between 11pm and 6am)
