Promo Producer, TalkTV 12 Month FTC

Your team: Join the dynamic Broadcast and Creative Services team at TalkTV, dedicated to producing engaging promotional content for our diverse programming slate. You’ll be working closely with writers, producers, and editors to create compelling promotional content for TalkTV. Reporting directly to the Head of Studio Output, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing our shows to life through inventive promos that captivate audiences.
Your role: The Promo Producer is a key member of the TalkTV creative team. Their primary purpose is to produce high quality On-Air Promotions, Marketing and Corporate videos which encourage consumers to engage, watch & subscribe to TalkTV’s television platform and social media channels, whilst always striving for the best creatively to build a strong TV brand for the channel. The role of Promo Producer is responsible for the end-to-end production (conceptualisation, scripting, directing, filming, producing and packaging) of promotional content for TalkTV.
Day to day you will:

Conceptualise and Produce: Take the reins from concept to delivery, working closely with other departments to create high-impact promotional content.
Develop Creative Ideas: Generate and pitch fresh, compelling ideas for promotional spots that align with the channel’s brand and programming strategy.
Scripting & Storyboarding: Write engaging scripts and develop storyboards for promotional campaigns, collaborating closely with graphic designers and editors.
Project Management: Manage multiple promo projects from inception to completion, coordinating with other departments like marketing and programming.
Quality Control: Oversee the final quality of audio and video output, ensuring it meets all company and industry standards.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments, especially marketing and programming, to synchronise promotional campaigns across various media platforms.
Strive for creative excellence: Writing, editing & producing television promos that drive & raise conversations.

What we’re looking for from you:

A proven track record of producing promotional content for television or similar media.
Strong creative skills and creative judgement.
A passion and knowledge for sport, music, films and TV.
A high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising on quality
The ability to approach a common theme from a unique perspective. A great sense for visuals, copy and music.
The ability to pitch clear and concise ideas to brief using good written and verbal communication skills.
Clear knowledge of the production processes, relevant tools and techniques.
Ability to self-edit to an offline standard (AVID preferred).
Experience of dealing with contributors (actors, voice-over artists, personalities and presenters).
Ability to interpret marketing & programming strategy priorities in order to best deliver to brief.
The ability to generate original ideas for promotions and larger 360-degree promotional campaigns across multiple platforms.
Ability to work to tight budgets and deadlines.
Strong planning and organisational skills in order to manage projects
The ability to be a team player who is just as happy to brainstorm with colleagues to the benefit of their work as they are to work independently.

Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective working relations with a range of internal and external contacts.

Manage the storage of content and projects on the AVIDs.
Advise & support freelancers about systems within the On-Air Department.
Keep up to date with their work’s associated music returns.
Comply with the regulatory, fair trading and competition rules in line with OFCOM guidelines.
Similarly, an awareness of Health and Safety Codes of Practice in TV production environments would be an advantage.
