We are seeking a Policy Manager to lead on the development and delivery of an innovative policy change agenda, influencing government decision makers to put children at the heart of their approach to international development and diplomacy. You will be a champion for the world’s most vulnerable children in the Sustainable Development Goals and use your policy skills to influence and impact Government Ministers, Senior Civil Servants, politicians, and partners on World Vision’s priority themes.
Key Responsibilities.
Lead delivery of WVUK’s policy change strategy and government-facing campaigns
Update WVUK policy change strategy and delivery plan and manage the development of policy products, including drafting some materials
Advocate for policy change with the UK government, as relationship holder with relevant civil servants in FCDO on child rights and gender equality.
Oversee ENOUGH campaign to end child hunger and malnutrition
Represent WVUK externally and develop relationships for impact
Foster relationships and form alliances with relevant development and humanitarian NGOs and institutions; including Chairing the Bond Child Rights Group.
Act as a World Vision UK spokesperson in the media and other public opportunities.
Manage Policy Unit and internal relationships to harmonise policy messaging
Develop and support a high performing team and play an active role in the leadership of the Team
Deputise for the Head of Policy and Government Relations.
As an active Christian, this role offers you the opportunity to integrate your Christian faith and be sensitive to its various expressions across cultures and denominations.
What we’re offering.
Salary Range: £42,750 per annum and £3,200 London weighting + good range of benefits.
Contract: Permanent, 36.5 hours per week.
Location: London / Hybrid (UK-based applicants only)
