We are looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager to join our team at this stunning location overseeing our Conference & Event side of the business as well as our multiple on-site catering units and their teams.
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for (with the support of your direct Line Managers):
Developing the strategy and direction of the F&B and C&E teams
Developing and implementing strategy to deliver on KPI’s as set by the client, with robust follow up to ensure improvements are met.
Monitoring and constantly seeking to improve on sales targets, by sharing and analysing data, setting targets and incentivising the team to deliver on them.
Developing appropriate objectives and direct their achievement by cascading to the wider team, holding regular one to one’s, monitoring progress and driving accountability.
Driving the team to deliver hospitality excellence in service and standards by sharing SOP’s, leading from the front and identifying and delivering training needs where applicable, utilising the support of AT’s L&D team.
Holding the recruitment and performance management process’ to a high standard with the support of AT’s HR and Recruitment team.
Developing a positive work environment and culture, by listening to the team, adopting an empathetic, consistent approach and putting engaging R&R programmes in place to incentivise the team.
With the support of the Culinary Team and the Retail Manager, analyse sales performance and guest feedback to develop the food and beverage offer, keeping it on trend, relevant and exciting.
Utilising the support of NBD Manager, identify and evaluate business opportunities for the company and direct accordingly.
Gatekeeper of communication of key messages internally and externally.
Responsible for business forecasting, monthly accounts analysis and debtor’s management, budget formulation, tracking & delivery, supported by AT’s Finance Business Manager
Maintaining positive, professional relationships with key stakeholders
Being the guardian of financial controls, compliance and operational excellence across all Absolute Taste catering and C&E functions within the unit, utilizing the Sales and Events Manager, Retail and Events Ops Managers
Liaising with clients, suppliers and all Absolute Taste departments to ensure the smooth running of the business
Ensuring that all legislative and Government guidelines are adhered to including The Food Safety Act, Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH and Fire Regulations, utilising expertise and guidance from AT’s Technical team.
Be fully conversant with all Company Codes of Conduct and Human Resources Policies
You must be:

A professional with a strong track record in planning and managing events
Previous experience in a similar role is a must
The ability to maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders
The Role:
Starting at £55,000 (depending on experience)
40 hours per week
5 days out of 7 (as per the needs of business)
Flexibility to work weekends as the operation is open 363 days a year (excluding Christmas) and (evenings when events require)
