FP&A Finance Analyst – Holidays

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Holidays Finance team, reporting into the FP&A Finance Manager for Holidays. The role benefits from oversight of the whole Holidays business and plays a key role in supporting with the co-ordination of the annual budget and outlook, as well as weekly PBT and cashflow forecasting. This involves working with various key stakeholders, including finance teams, within both the Holidays and Airline businesses. In addition to FP&A responsibilities, the role is responsible for business partnering the Holidays Legal, Finance and HR functions. Furthermore, the team business partner the marketing department giving this role further exposure to an exciting area of the Holidays business with excellent opportunities for deep dive analysis. The role would suit a strong self-starter with great communication skills who is keen to get stuck into the role and drive forward process improvement. In turn the individual will gain plenty of opportunities to develop their FP&A skills and understanding of the Holidays business.
As a key member of the Finance team, our Finance Analysts provide financial ownership and delivery of financial planning, reporting and analysis for each given business area. With a key focus on development and progression, we expect there to be further opportunities for both sideways and upwards development for those individuals with a passion for widening their breadth of experience and achieving their longer-term development goals.
Job Purpose
This role supports the FP&A Finance Manager with the weekly PBT and cashflow forecasts which are critical aspects of the business providing exposure across multiple stakeholders The role also supports with the consolidation of the budget and outlook for multiple source markets within the Holidays business The Finance Analyst is responsible for business partnering the Holidays Legal, Finance and HR functions by holding monthly forecast meetings and maintaining strong relationships In addition, this role supports with business partnering the Holidays Marketing function including regular forecast meetings, deep dive analysis and month end processes The role owns the consolidation of overheads forecasting across multiple cost centres, with month end variance analysis. This is critical to ensuring we maintain a low fixed-cost base which is a key fundamental of the Holidays business strategy This role drives process improvements through automation and increased efficiencies, using multiple tools such as ThoughtSpot and Planning Analytics The Finance Analyst provides a business partnership between the business owners and the financial performance of easyJet holidays. This includes month end deliverables, strategic and annual planning, forecasts, projects and providing insightful analysis for the business The Finance Analyst provides both current (actuals) and future performance analysis and gives guidance on Forecasts and Budgets The Finance Analyst works collaboratively with relevant business areas to drive and monitor revenue growth and cost saving initiatives supporting the overall strategic plan, identifying key threats, opportunities, and remedial action
What you’ll bring to the team:
You will be a qualified accountant able to embrace large, complex, preferably fast moving, entities, have excellent analytical skills with ability to demonstrate a strong grasp of variance analysis and key drivers A candidate with demonstrable experience of process improvement and automation Be able to summarise and communicate key issues from high volumes of data with a high attention to detail Proven ability to digest and interpret accounting complexity across balance sheet, cash flow and P&L, with strong experience with multi-currencies and understanding of FX implications Someone who can communicate and challenge effectively with key stakeholders at all seniority levels in the organisation
Location and hrs of work This full-time role will be based in Luton (Hybrid working options available), and will be 40 hours per week, with some occasional travel required.
