About the role:
You will work with the other Student Engagement Officers, the Enrichment Manager, and the Head of Hubs to plan, organise, deliver, and evaluate an exciting and wide-ranging Student Enrichment & Engagement Programme that includes:
o Enrichment clubs, societies & short courses
o Student leadership and student voice
o Sports teams, enrichment sports & physical activity clubs and activities
o Student events
o Duke of Edinburgh (D of E) Award
o Student volunteerism & social action
o Curriculum enrichment, enterprise projects and skills development workshops
o Student Awards and celebrations

Each Student Engagement Officers is primarily based at one of our campuses – this role is primarily based at our Angel Campus. The Student Engagement Officer will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating the whole of the student enrichment and engagement programme at this campus . In addition, each enrichment officer leads on coordinating the cross-campus planning of one enrichment area. this role will be responsible for the cross campus planning of
o A programme of high-quality student awareness raising, EDI, creative, enterprise social, wellbeing and celebration events

About you:
You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is open to a challenge and enjoys working within a creative, supportive, and fast paced team.
You will have at least two years’ experience working with young people (aged 16-19) and ideally a degree or a relevant professional qualification (youth work, social work, teaching, sports coaching/development). We would be particularly interested in hearing from you if you have experience of planning and delivering student/young people’s events
You will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and be passionate about young people’s engagement, participation and skills development; you will be innovative and enthusiastic with a can-do attitude and enjoy working as part of a team as well as having an ability to work independently. You will have excellent organisational, problem solving, planning and group facilitation skills and an ability to network and build partnerships.

About CANDI
City Islington College is an award-winning further education college in London with centres in Holloway, Angel and Finsbury Park. The College offers a huge array of academic and vocational courses from entry levels right through to HE for young and adult learners. These include foundation learning, A-Levels, BTECs, Apprenticeships, Access to Higher Education. The College also works closely with all stakeholders and offers bespoke training and development programmes.

Our Sixth Form centre located on our Angel Campus offers over 30 A Level subjects to our students, one of the largest choices in the UK, providing high level academic study for around 1,800 students wishing to progress to university.
