Longleat is seeking an experienced and customer focused Security Officer to join our team and help us continue our tradition of hiring engaged and productive employees.
Our Security Team ensure the safety and security of the park, house, and wider estate. With guests at the forefront, you’ll deter crime, minimize risks, and de-escalate confrontations to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Reporting to the Head of Security, you’ll be responsible for working closely with the team to provide a friendly and professional security presence during mobile patrols, foot patrols, and whilst handling CCTV and control room operations as well as telephone enquiries.
Key duties will include:

Once trained you will monitor CCTV, operate and fully understand the CCTV cameras and associated equipment in the control room.
Through effective patrols across the estate, to minimalize potential security threats to the business and the estate.
To ensure all security issues are dealt with calmly and efficiently with minimal disruption to the on-going business and our customers.
To oversee contractor movement to the estate and house, ensuring that their presence on site is recorded and that the relevant department is aware of their presence and takes ownership of their movement on site.
To carry out perimeter patrols of the barriers and blockers, checking for tampers and ensuring the security arrangements for the estate run in a timely manner.

About you

Proven security industry experience.
SIA security licence.
A full valid UK, clean, driving licence.
Must be self- sufficient in working remotely, able to work without direct supervision.
Must be computer literate and have good working knowledge of M.S Word and Excel applications.
Must be willing to work on a variable shift pattern of 12-hour night shifts, with some short notice shift changes.
Must be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to problems as they arise, ensuring they are followed through to a positive conclusion at all times.
A DBS check will be required prior to successful appointment.

Your contract
You will be on a a permanent 42-hour contract working a 4 on 4 off 12-hour shift pattern, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
