We are looking for a Security Officer to join us at our client site in the City of London. This site is corporate and will be home to international companies including Law firms.
As a Security Officer at the site, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest levels of security are maintained at the building or post assigned to you. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, prompt incident response, and upholding security standards in your area of influence

A typical day in the life as a Security Officer:

Ensuring the building is safe and protected by carrying out both internal and external patrols, actively preventing any security concerns.
Checking, and verifying entry passes, monitoring of alarm systems, access control and investigating any suspicious activity or behaviour.
Interaction with customers, meeting and greeting both staff and visitors; listening to requests, taking an interest in what they have to say, show empathy, and be prepared to answer questions and follow up where you feel you might be able to help. It’s about going that extra mile to show people we care.

Other duties:

Capture and communicate issues and risks to your team leader or controller for resolution.
Be flexible to work at different security posts or in varying security officer roles.
Thoroughly read and understand all assignment instructions for locations you work at.
Familiarise yourself with post instructions before assuming your post.
Ensure comprehensive handovers to colleagues, leaving no information undisclosed.
Never leave your post unattended unless explicitly instructed or allowed by assignment instructions.

DS SIA Licence
Experience in a security environment is beneficial but not essential, we are willing to put the time and resource into someone who may be recently licensed to give you the first step you might need.
