Operations Assistant

Overview

Role Definition

To proactively and confidently support the Underwriting teams and Managers with the day-to-day running of the DUAL Oliva Construction & Commercial teams. Working within a fun, energetic and fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Liaising with credit control, brokers and underwriters to facilitate the reduction of aged debt and unallocated cash
Working with the bordereaux team to ensure written bordereaux are correct and issued in a timely manner and reporting to Insurers
Proactively and collaboratively works with the team and external providers as the conduit to the Salesforce platform to deliver improvements for the Oliva team’s user experience
Conduit between DUAL Oliva and DUAL Compliance team to ensure regularity updates are communicated throughout the teams
Actively investigates data anomalies and inaccuracies, with ability to feedback results to managers
Supporting the Underwriters within the team with administrative duties including internal risk auditing and liaising with external auditors
Creating Insureds records within the Underwriting system and supporting processors with booking risks, when necessary,
Working to strict deadlines and managing teams expectations, with regular communication,
Proactively liaises with brokers, when required,

Skills and abilities needed to perform role

Highly engaging communicator with excellent inter-personal skills.

Ability to follow process accurately and diligently
Confidence and curiosity to ask questions
A drive to succeed
Ability to understand the needs of each Underwriting line on a portfolio basis.

Knowledge and Experience

Experience in the insurance industry with experience in operations/accounts
Experience with working with Salesforce platform

Compliance & Regulatory Responsibilities

Remain compliant with FCA requirements at all times.
To share ideas, best practice and other information within DUAL Oliva
