HMNB Staff (Full Training)

We are recruiting for Dockyard Industrial Staff to work in Portsmouth Dockyard. (Ship Cleaners & Fire Sentry staff & labourers) You will be trained to cover a variety of different duties, as a flexible Industrial staff member.

INDUSTRIAL STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES (Flexible Duties)

Ship Cleaning: Assisting with deep cleaning on surface ships both on water and dry dock-based. Cleaning oil spills, wiping down areas, sweeping and bleaching areas.
Fire Sentry: Will be trained to watch over electricians/welders working to prevent any potential fires.
General Labouring: Helping with general duties around the ships and naval base – Will be trained in various areas.

ABOUT YOU

You must hold a valid Photo ID
You must have consistent employment references from the last 3 years (until the present)

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED – FULL TRAINING IN ALL REQUIRED AREAS ARE GIVEN!
HOURS
Standard shifts are 7:30 am – 4 pm (Ship Cleaning) or anywhere between 6 am – 6 pm (Fire Sentry). May be required to work occasional weekends.
Job Types: Temporary contract, Full-time
Salary: £10.42-£12.50 per hour
