You will be covering the locations between Gloucester and Birmingham.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The role of the Installation Commissioning Engineer is to support the project managers to control, deliver and commission the installed systems to high standards. They are responsible along with the Project manager to ensure that the installation of each job is completed on time to the required specification and within budget by managing the resources, equipment and labour required to complete the project successfully whilst complying to all relevant Industry, Safety and quality standards.
Experienced Security Installation and Commissioning Engineer with a comprehensive understanding of high-end systems including Lenel, CCURE, Milestone and Genetec.
What you will be doing:

Pre-Installation and Commissioning: Assist the project managers with resource planning when required.
Review progress of installations and early escalation of issues to Project Manager.
Carry out Installation works as required.
Programming and final commissioning of systems.
1st Line support for technical issues.
Resource management additional/less resource required (Engineer Productivity) vs Programme.
Attend Prestart meetings and report back to the PM / Sales team any issues / changes.
Support the Sales and project teams with any project specific design queries
Reviewing and approving technical specifications of systems to be delivered.
Pre-build and Factory Acceptance Testing as required
Prestart site visits with the installation team to review their quote in line with the scope
Ensuring the client is aware of the scope of works to be delivered and timescales.
Site Training for customer and service department (where applicable).
Identifying Subcon, installation and technical Issues and escalating to all issues and changes to the PM.
Identifying additional opportunities and escalating these to the Project Manager & Sales Manager.
Monitoring and Auditing of Subcontractors
Carry out H&S Audits and Toolbox talks for Installation Engineers and Sub-Contractors as required.

Management

Timesheet are completed and submitted weekly
Communication of following weeks plan and any changes to the Engineering or Project Manager.
Communicate progress report to the Project Manager.
Capture and communicate / escalate any variations to the design or scope of works to the Project Manager and or Sales Manager
Ensure all works are completed and certificates obtained / issued and sent to the Project manager.
Verify all subcontractor installation / works are completed and test certificates have been issued. Feedback any issues regarding subcontractor to the Project Manager to address (Quality of works).
