We have an opportunity for a Concierge, Nights to join our organisation.
The Concierge, Nights will be based at our offices in Birmingham.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The primary purpose of the job is to deliver a reception, security and caretaking service at
Rowans Court whilst delivering mobile concierge and caretaking services for the associations disbursed accommodation across Birmingham and Sandwell. The post holder will be the first point of contact to visitors and residents and must ensure a professional, customer focused serviced is always delivered.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of accountabilities and responsibilities is not intended to be exhaustive, and the jobholder will be expected, from time to time, to undertake other such tasks as are required to ensure the effective operation of the service:
Reception

Manage visitors or telephone queries.
Record all ingress and egress in the building from residents and visitors.
Receive and re-direct post and deliveries within the building.
Liaising with contractors.
Creating fobs and distrusting keys.
Provide access to necessary secure areas of the building to all contractors and representatives from partner agencies.

Security and Health and Safety

Monitor and control CCTV surveillance systems.
Carry out mobile patrols of the internal and external areas of the associations dwellings, and record findings.
Record and report any hazards, breaches in security, repairs, or incidents to necessary departments/agencies as they are found.
Maintain a visible presence in and around the accommodation sites including mobile patrolling the premises (internally and externally).
Responsible for Fire alarm testing and statutory health and safety checks.
To develop and maintain relationships with West Midlands Police and local PCSO’s.

Caretaking

Address any minor hazards to ensure they are managed immediately.
Ensure reception areas and entrances to the building are always kept clean and clear.
Remove rubbish and refuse in the internal and external communal areas.
Address any spillages in the communal areas as they are found Housing Management.
Challenge unacceptable behaviour by residents or visitors.
Dealing with incidents and resident concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
Record all housing management contact on the housing management system and report estate management concerns to the housing department.
Management Team Member.
To participate in relevant meetings as required.
To participate in supervision/appraisal meetings for professional development
To support and co-operate with other team members.
To participate in training activities relevant to the job role.
Financial Responsibilities.
To ensure compliance with all financial policies and procedures.

Health and Safety

To be aware of the polices of the Association and ensure they are carried out and that good practice is maintained.

Personal responsibilities

To maintain the highest level of confidentiality within the Association’s policies and procedure.
To contribute to the overall development of the Association by using individual skills, strengths, and abilities.
To promote the organisation through a professional reception service.
To maintain and enhance effective working relationships with all partner agencies.
To encourage meaningful co production.
To ensure that the Equality and Diversity Strategy and agenda are actively promoted.
To carry out any other duties that are deemed appropriate to the post.
